And that’s good news because having an account in collections can lower your credit score.
There is hope because...
The impact on your credit score isn’t permanent. You can dispute the account and have it removed from your credit report if the information is inaccurate or can’t be verified.
What is Radius Global Solutions?
Radius Global Solutions, LLC, is a debt collection and account recovery agency in the U.S. The company is accredited by the Better Business Bureau.
The BBB gives them an A+ rating, but customer reviews give them one star out of five.
You might have gotten a call or a letter from them, or seen the company show up on your credit report.
If that’s the case, you might owe a creditor money - and that creditor probably hired Radius Global Solutions to collect payment from you.

Before you fork over the cash, there’s an industry secret that debt collectors don’t want you to know.
Paying the collection might do more harm than good.
If you pay the debt without going through the following steps, you could lower your credit score even more.
Why Paying Radius Global Solutions Won't Help Your Credit
Since Radius Global Solutions is a legit collections company, why wouldn’t you make a payment and be done with it?
Here’s the deal:
If you pay a debt that’s in collections, the status will change from “unpaid collection” to “paid collection.”
That means the collections account can still show up on your credit report.
Your credit score will suffer anytime a collection is on your credit report. Even if it’s reported as a paid collection.
And it isn’t a short-term drop, either.

To increase your credit score, you must have the collections account completely removed from your credit history.
4 Steps to Dealing with Radius Global Solutions
1. Ask for Proof that You Owe the Debt
The very first step to removing Radius Global Solutions, LLC from your credit report is to confirm that the debt belongs to you.
The law requires debt collectors to send you proof that you owe the debt within five days of first making contact with you.
If they don’t, you might have an easy way out.
Under the Federal Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), in Section 609 (A) (1) (a), you can ask the company to prove the debt is yours by sending a debt validation letter.
It’s sometimes called a Section 609 letter, and you can use our free letter template to make it easier for you.
Send it using certified mail (that way you have a paper trail should you need it) to their mailing address:
Radius Global Solutions, LLC
7831 Glenroy Road, Suite 250
Edina, MN 55439
They might respond to your request.
But what if they don’t?
Sometimes, things slip through the cracks.
If Radius Global Solutions doesn’t confirm your account by sending proof that you owe the debt, you’re off the hook.
The law says they must contact all three major credit bureaus to have them remove the collections from your credit report.
2. Use the Statute of Limitations
Let’s assume Radius Global Solutions sent you the documentation that proves the debt is yours.
You’ve likely heard the term “statute of limitations” before. When dealing with a debt in collections, it could work in your favor.
Most people don’t know about this trick, so it’s almost like having a hidden superpower.
With the statute of limitations, the government is saying that you’re not legally responsible for the debt forever. After a certain amount of time, you don’t have to pay the debt back.
Generally, state lawmakers say if your debt is over seven years old, you’re not required to repay it.
But every state is different.

It's quick, easy, and free.
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau states, “Statutes of limitation may vary depending on state laws, the type of debt you have, or the state law named in your credit agreement.”
Check with your local laws first. Then, read through the paperwork Radius Global Solutions sent to you to find your last date of account activity.
3. Negotiate a Settlement
If the debt truly belongs to you and the statute of limitations hasn’t been met, negotiating a settlement is your next step.
There’s one thing you should know.
When asking Radius Global Solutions to settle for less than you owe, make sure to include a “delete agreement” in your request.
A delete agreement, or pay for deletion, requires the company to remove the collections account from your credit report in exchange for your payment.
Calling them on the phone at 888-287-5711 might sound like the easiest way to negotiate with the company.
One word of caution:
Always get this type of agreement in writing.
That way you’ll have proper documentation if the company doesn’t follow through.
Keep in mind that reaching a delete agreement with this company won’t be easy.
But one thing is for sure.
If you can withstand the challenging process, you could improve your credit score.
4. Talk to a Credit Repair Expert
Radius Global Solutions is a particularly aggressive collection agency. You may have trouble dealing with them on your own.
